Ontario Nonprofits Network is seeking a communications and outreach intern to help develop an information sharing plan for rural nonprofits in Ontario.

This is a part-time position, over a 6 month period. This position will report to the Director.

About the Ontario Nonprofit Network (ONN)
ONN is a network of networks that helps to build communication and coordination amongst 45,000 nonprofit organizations working for the public benefit in Ontario. We seek to build the links across and between the sub-sectors and our goal is to strengthen these sub-networks. Responsibilities:
The Communications and Outreach Assistant will work with ONN’s Director and Administrative Coordinator to develop a 12- month plan for our enhanced support and information sharing to rural nonprofits in Ontario.
The strategies will be those that don’t require groups to increase their carbon footprint and should include such tools as ONN’s website, the internet, our enews, webinars, conference calls, etc.
Prior to developing the plan, the Assistant will work with ONN staff to do a needs assessment of those nonprofits to get feedback on groups’ knowledge and understanding of ONN, the resources currently available to them through our network, and how ONN can better support.
The Assistant will also use tools such as Google Analytics to assess how well our website and enews are being used and suggest ways that they can be improved. Following the creation of the plan and its approval by the ONN Steering Committee, the Assistant will work with ONN staff to implement the plan.

You must be:

Between the ages of 15 and 30
•
Unemployed
•
A Canadian citizen, permanent resident or a person to whom refugee protection has been granted under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
•
Legally entitled to work in Canada
•
Legally entitled to work in your province or territory
Where applicable, you may also need:
